First Line Supervision

Partial reimbursement may be approved for members of Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA).

This is a three (e) day course designed for those newly promoted or soon to be promoted officers who now have the authority and responsibility to manage an organization, lead, motivate and promote positive discipline with their subordinates and ensure that the needs and goals of the organization are satisfied.

​Supervisors must have a wide range of personal qualities. These include: energy and good health, an ability to get along with people, job knowledge, self-control under pressure, dedication and dependability, problem solving skills, leadership potential, and a genuine belief in the idea that good management and leadership can make the attainment of the organizations goals easier.
